America’s past-time, the great game of baseball, has millions of fans not only across the country but also across the world. The game has grown in countries like Japan, Australia, Canada, the Dominican Republic and many others over the past couple of decades. One of the most popular things to do when it comes to baseball is visiting other ballparks across the country whether they are the home for minor league teams or major league teams.

Fathers and sons have been traveling across the country to see their home team play in opponent’s ballparks since the game became a professional sports a hundred years or so ago. What makes visiting other parks so fun? The answer is simple; if you love baseball then you will appreciate being at other ballparks no matter who is playing. The other answer is that you love to follow your favorite team across the country.

The ballparks in the Major Leagues today include the following:

Camden Yards

Fenway Park

Rogers Centre

Tropicana Field

Yankee Stadium

Comerica Park

Kauffman Stadium

Metrodome

Progressive Field

U.S. Cellular Field

Angel Stadium

Oakland Coliseum

Rangers Ballpark in Arlington

Safeco Field

Citi Field

Citizens Bank Park

Land Shark Stadium

Nationals Park

Turner Field

Busch Stadium

Great American Ball Park

Miller Park

PNC Park

Wrigley Field

AT&T Park

Chase Field

Coors Field

Dodger Stadium

Petco Park

Land Shark Stadium, the home of the Florida Marlins, will be out of commission following the 2011 season because they are having a new home built, which will open in 2012.

If you are preparing to take a vacation or a business trip that requires the use of a plane, you should be prepared for what will take place at the airport regarding security. Make sure that you show up to the airport at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to take off from the runway in order for you to make it through security without missing your flight. Also, do not give attitude to anyone working security because they might feel that you are acting suspicious.

As you prepare to walk through the metal detector you will need to remove your shoes. When heading to the airport it is best that you purposely wear sandals or flip flops so that you can easily remove them from your feet during the screening process. This is easier than wearing work boots, sneakers, or dress shoes. Also, make sure you don’t wear any clothing or other accessories with metal on them because it will set off the metal detector when you walk through it.

When you arrive at the screening center you should make sure that your carry-on bag is not cluttered. Security officials will need to riffle through your carry-on bag to make sure that nothing illegal is in the bag. If the bag is not cluttered then it will be easier for the security official to look through the bag and will expedite the process. Empty your pockets completely when going through the metal detector so nothing sets off the detector.

Everyone likes to take a vacation during the summer months and let’s face it, with the way the economy has been lately many of us can’t wait to get away from all the bad news, especially at the office. So, if you can afford to take a vacation before the summer months come to a close then follow the packing tips outlined below and your vacation will be a success.

Tip 1: Don’t bring your entire wardrobe: There is no need to bring every single piece of clothing you own on your summer vacation. There isn’t enough time in the day to wear it all, especially if you are going on a cruise or are vacationing at the beach.

Tip 2: Pack clothes for any occasion: You never know what the weather will be like during your vacation so pack at least one pair of long pants and one sweatshirt in case you run into a cold spell.

Tip 3: Pack sunscreen: Instead of purchasing sunscreen at your vacation destination you should purchase it ahead of time to save money. Tourist attractions will bump up the price of sunscreen knowing that people will not want to travel too far to make a purchse.

Tip 4: Bring comfortable shoes: If you are going on a vacation where there will be alot of walking involved you should pack a pair of comfortable shoes. Comfortable shoes will make it easier on your feet to walk around town and won’t ruin your trip because of sore feet or blisters.

Almost everyone across the country loves to travel at some point during the year, whether it is in their own state or out of state to other attractions. The East Coast is famous for travel to Philadelphia, New York City, Maine, the Jersey Shore, Williamsburg and Florida. Florida is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world because of Disney World.

Disney World has been a popular vacation spot for couples and families for quite some time now because it is the largest theme park in the country and has fun things to do for everyone involved. High schools routinely travel to Disney World for senior class trips, state championship teams travel to Disney World to celebrate a title, and bands and cheerleading teams travel to Disney World for competitions each year as well.

A lot of newlywed coupled honeymoon in Disney World because there is so much to do during the week or ten days that they are there. There are classy restaurants to eat at, water parks to spend the day at, and an incredible fireworks show to watch at night at the Magic Kingdom. If you are looking for a romantic night on a honeymoon you should visit the Magic Kingdom and watch the fireworks; its an excellent display.

Disney World also boasts Epcot, Animal Kingdom, other theme parks and plenty of restaurants and shops to eat at and purchase souvenirs in across their land. So, if you are looking for an excellent place to vacation that is fun for the entire family, Disney World is your best bet.

Thousands of people will plan family vacations, vacations with friends, and day trips throughout the summer months during the summer of 2009 and with all of those trips comes an increased amount of traffic on the roads of America. As you plan your summer road trip make sure you follow the road safety tips that we provide in this article. These tips will keep you safe and make your vacation much more enjoyable.

Tip 1: Allow for plenty of driving time. When traveling by car make sure that you allow for plenty of traveling time when heading out on your adventure. Leave with plenty of time at hand so that you do not find yourselves rushing when on the roads.

Tip 2: Check your car prior to vacation. Perform some routine maintenance on your vehicle prior to leaving for your vacation. Check the car’s tire pressure, the oil, the engine and other items to make sure that the car will not break down when on vacation. Also make sure that your car is equipped with a spare tire, flares, and jumper cables just in case of a breakdown.

Tip 3: Obey Speed Laws. Wherever you are driving make sure that you obey all speed laws while on vacation. Getting a ticket in another state is no fun and it will ruin your vacation before it even gets into full swing.

Tip 4: Get plenty of sleep prior to driving. When heading out on the roads for a summer vacation make sure you get plenty of sleep before getting behind the wheel. Don’t drive if you are tired, it can cause an accident that will lead to serious injury or even death.

Tip 5: Never Drink and Drive. When on vacation never drink and drive. If you have been drinking make sure that someone else with you has not consumed any alcoholic beverages and can drive the vehicle.

Are you planning a family vacation for the summer? It doesn’t matter if you are traveling via plane, train, or car the following tips should be followed for your vacation to be a success. The tips are also geared towards safety to make sure that your family has a fun and safe vacation without any problems.

Tip 1: Book the trip well in advance. If you wait too long to book your summer vacation then you might have to pay more than you originally planned. Waiting too long to book a trip can mean your vacation will be expensive and might not be as fun as it could have been if booked at an earlier date.

Tip 2: Research your Destination. Perform some research about your destination prior to booking a trip. Find out if the vacation spot is family friendly and if there is enough security to keep your family safe while traveling.

Tip 3: Pack Lightly. Don’t bring everything you own when going on vacation. Bringing one piece of luggage per person will make for a more comfortable ride in the car when going on vacation. If there is too much luggage then you will not have a fun ride on the trip because the car will be packed to the gills.

Tip 4: Don’t carry too much cash. When going on vacation don’t carry too much cash on your person. Use credit cards, travelers checks, and personal checks when going on vacation to stay safe. This can also help you prevent spending too much money while on the trip.

I know the title seems a little too hard to believe but it really is true. Why would we lie? That’s right; a couple has filed for divorce because of an incident in an airport following their honeymoon. The newly married couple was in an airport in Saudi Arabia and had been married for only one week.

The bride decided to stop off and use the women’s bathroom prior to boarding the couple’s plane home. The husband decided that his wife took way too long in the bathroom and boarded the plan without his new bride. Upon exiting the bathroom the bride went on a frantic search of the airport for her husband.

The bride finally found out that her husband had boarded the plane without her and the plane had already taken off from the airport, leaving her stranded by herself following the honeymoon. The husband, upon landing at his destination, calmly told his and her relatives that the bride was still in Malaysia. The bride was not so calm though when she learned of her husband’s actions.

The bride demanded an immediate divorce from her new husband citing that his actions were inappropriate and not proper for a new marriage. Have you ever thought that spending too much time in the bathroom can lead to a divorce of your marriage? I know, its surprising but stranger things have happened. Divorce is incredibly common across the world but we aren’t sure if it has ever been caused by spending too much time in the airport bathroom following a honeymoon.

The Fourth of July is one of the most popular and beloved holidays in the United States because it celebrates the birthday of our wonderful country. The 4th of July has turned into one major day to party or one major weekend to party, if the holiday falls on the weekend, over the past couple of years.

One of the most popular vacation spots in the country is the Jersey Shore. The Jersey Shore is packed with thousands of people every July 4th to party with their friends and family members while also watching some of the most exhilarating fireworks displays on the East Coast.

Traveling during the 4th of July weekend can be a major inconvenience for some people, especially on the way home from their getaway. The travel following the Fourth of July can be lengthy, especially if done by motor vehicle, because so many people this year have decided against traveling long distances and are using road trips to celebrate the birthday of this great nation.

The 4th of July was on a Saturday, which gave many people one full day (Sunday), to travel back home from wherever they were vacationing. Many people across the country decided to take an extra day or two for the holiday, meaning that there will be a lot of traffic on the roads come later Monday afternoon and evening.

When traveling for the Fourth of July holiday people should remember to drive the speed limit, take it slow, don’t be aggressive on the roads and give themselves plenty of traveling time when going one destination to the next.
